What we collect, and when

When you use the contact form

We collect your name, email address, and message, plus your phone number and subject line if you choose to provide them. This is sent to us by email and used solely to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and your consent in submitting them.

When you subscribe to the newsletter

We collect your email address and store it with Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., United States), who processes it on our behalf. We use it to send you halal investing insights and occasional offers. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

When you book a call

Bookings are handled by Google Calendar Appointment Schedules. The information you enter goes to Google and to us, and is used to arrange and hold the call.

When you simply browse

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5Q2P1XB44B) to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. These analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner.

Third-party services on this site

Each of these receives some data when the relevant part of the site loads:

• Google Analytics 4 — usage analytics. Only active with your consent.
• Google reCAPTCHA — protects the contact form from spam. Google receives your IP address and interaction data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Calendar — embedded booking on the appointment page.
• Mailchimp — newsletter delivery and list management.
• Trustpilot — the reviews widget on the homepage loads from Trustpilot's servers.
• CookieYes — stores your cookie preferences so we can honour them.
• Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google's font servers, which receive your IP address.

Transfers outside Switzerland and the EEA

Several of the providers above are based in the United States, so using this site can involve transferring your data there. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers — including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU–US and Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep the site working and are always active. Analytics cookies are optional and only set once you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner, and you can clear cookies from your browser settings at any point.

How long we keep things

• Contact-form messages — while we deal with your enquiry and for up to 24 months afterwards, so we have context if you come back to us.
• Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe. After that we keep a record of the unsubscribe itself, so we do not email you again by mistake.
• Analytics data — according to the retention period set in Google Analytics, which is a maximum of 14 months.
• Course and coaching records — for as long as you hold access, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep the underlying records.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it elsewhere. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.

Email [email protected] and we will respond. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EEA.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to newsletter subscribers by email.
